Mensa events

From a weekend of philosophical debate to a get-together in the pub, Mensa members have plenty of opportunity to get out and about with other Mensans. Many events offer inspiring speakers or behind the scenes visits not generally available to the public.

The society also hosts occasional events open to non-members, including the prestigious Mensa at Cambridge weekend and Think@Oxford each year.

Mensa at Cambridge 2023

Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 September 2023

Sidney Sussex College, Sidney Street, Cambridge CB2 3HU

Open to members and non-members. You are invited to join us in beautiful Cambridge at Sidney Sussex College. Over four days you will experience 10 presentations, fine dining and hospitality in suburb historical surroundings. Last year we invited speakers to present their take on the theme of ‘The Affects and Effects of the Virus’. While the effects were very obvious in health terms the affects were more complex including the impact on local and global societies. This year the theme moves on to ‘Resilience’. Organiser Gillian Kaile has assembled 10 high quality speakers from a wide-ranging background who will present their expert analysis. As always delegates will have opportunity to question and debate after each presentation. All in all, if you enjoy high quality presentations, great company and want to be inspired by a city rich in history, culture and world-changing discoveries – then please do join us!
