Terms and Conditions for British Mensa Events
Definitions
‘British Mensa,’ ‘Mensa,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ and ‘our’ means British Mensa, Deansgate, 62-70 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton WV1 4 TH.
‘You’ means the individual person who is booking or participating in a British Mensa event.
‘Mensa events’ refers to any conference, gathering or other event organised by British Mensa and available to British Mensa members and non-members.
These terms and conditions (‘Terms’) explain the terms and conditions applicable to bookings for ‘Mensa events.’
Bookings
A booking is deemed to have been agreed between British Mensa and you when you have booked via the British Mensa website or submitted a paper booking form, and British Mensa has accepted this booking via a booking confirmation in writing.
A booking does not automatically guarantee a place at the event. Written confirmation is required to guarantee a booking and any guarantee is subject to full payment being received prior to the event.
If full payment is not received prior to the event, British Mensa will refuse the booking, will inform you that your booking has been cancelled, and reserves the right to refuse you entry. Any monies that you have already paid will be retained by British Mensa.
Cancellations and amendments
British Mensa reserves the right to cancel or amend any event. This includes changes to venue, dates, times, speakers, content and the programme. You agree to accept changes made after confirmation of your booking.
If British Mensa cancels an event, payments received by British Mensa will be refunded, but any other costs incurred by you as a result of this cancellation will not be refunded.
British Mensa will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from circumstances outside its control.
If you wish to cancel your attendance at a British Mensa event you must do so in writing or by email to: events@mensa.org.uk.
Any payment to British Mensa will be refunded if a cancellation notice is received by British Mensa six weeks or more before the planned event.
No refunds will be made where the cancellation notice is received by British Mensa within six weeks of the planned event.

British Mensa events are held in third party venues where access may be limited. It is your responsibility to ensure that access to the venue is adequate for your requirements before you make your booking.
