Initial words all contain mammals; yak, hare, lion, bat, pig, bear, ass, boar
FREELANCE contains EEL, which is a fish
SCOOTER contains COOT, which is a bird
EXCLAMATION contains CLAM, which is an invertebrate
TEASPOON contains ASP which is a reptile
LEAPFROGGED contains FROG which is an amphibian
