An Olympic Triathlon consists of

1.5 km Swim

40 km Cycle Ride

10 km Run

An athlete averaged the following speeds

Swim 2.25 km/h

Cycle 30 km/h

If it took the athlete exactly 3 hours to complete the triathlon, how fast did he run?

Ans = 10 km/h
Time = Distance ÷ Speed. Swim = 1.5/2.25 = 40mins
Bike = 40/30 = 1 hour 20 mins. Total Time = 3hrs so
Run = 1 hour, = 10km/h
