One activity that many of our members enjoy is puzzling! You can test yourself for fun with our brainteasers. 18/12/24 – Christmas Concert

Four pupils, Ava, Ben, Claire and Dan took part in a school Christmas Concert. Each played a different carol on a different instrument. Who played which carol, and on what instrument?

1. A female played the Holly and the Ivy, but not on piano

2. Silent Night was played on the violin, but not by Dan

3. Ava played the flute, Claire played We Three Kings

4. Away in a Manger was not played on the guitar

AVA – HOLLY & THE IVY – FLUTE; BEN – SILENT NIGHT – VIOLIN; CLAIRE – WE THREE KINGS – GUITAR; DAN – AWAY IN A MANGER – PIANO.

Claire played We Three Kings (clue 3) meaning Ava played Holly and Ivy on flute (clues 1 & 3). Dan played Away in a Manger (Clue 2) so Ben played Silent Night on violin (clue 2). As Dan did not play guitar (clue 4) then he played piano and Claire played guitar.
