It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Leek, former Chairman and Honorary President of British Mensa, who died peacefully on Friday 20 March.

Chris joined Mensa at the age of 21 and remained a dedicated and influential member throughout his life. He served on the Board of British Mensa for 25 years, including many years as Chairman. Upon stepping down from the Board in 2023, he was appointed Honorary President in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the society.

Chris also gave many years of distinguished service to Mensa International, where he served as a Board Director and as Chairman from 2003 to 2007.

Chris will be greatly missed by all at British Mensa. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
