An event to launch a new book on corporate psychopaths, edited by Mensan Clive Boddy, will take place at 6pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at ARU’s Cambridge Campus, in the Lord Ashcroft Business School, Room 202.
Clive Boddy will talk about the book, who corporate and political psychopaths are, and what they do. After the talk, Clive will be available for further discussions over wine and nibbles at the event.
Clive has been researching and writing about corporate psychopaths since 2005 and understands that psychopathy in leaders is a main driver of organisational and political history. The relevance of this research is reflected in Clive’s ranking in the 2025 Stanford/Elsevier global rankings of academics as being above some of the recent Nobel Prize winners and all but two of the other business academics in Cambridge.
The Research Handbook on Corporate Psychopaths, containing 29 chapters from 24 authors, defines and measures the characteristics, behaviours, and impacts of psychopathic individuals from a personal to a societal scale. This unique book presents theoretical, multidisciplinary, and applied research to highlight methods for identifying, managing, and dealing with corporate psychopaths in organisational settings.
Dr Max Tookey will introduce both Clive and Max’s own chapter on the chronology of research into corporate psychopaths.
Max, a Senior Lecturer in Management, Psychology and Research Methods at the University of the Arts London, has been teaching about corporate psychopaths since 2011 and understands the overarching importance of psychopathy in organisational and political leaders.
A limited number of tickets are available at no cost, after which other tickets can be bought for £10 each.
