British Mensa confirms its leadership transition plans as Chief Executive Cath Hill prepares to step down at the end of January to take up the role of Chief Executive at The Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

To ensure continuity and a smooth transition, Kayleigh Mapstone, the current Head of Membership and Projects, will take on the responsibility for leading British Mensa on an interim basis while a comprehensive recruitment process is underway.

Reflecting on her tenure, Cath Hill said: “It has been a privilege to lead British Mensa through this exciting period of transformation and to work alongside such a talented and passionate community. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together, and I leave knowing the organisation is in capable hands. British Mensa will always hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to watching the society grow and thrive in the years ahead.”

Jenny Gill, Chairman of British Mensa, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Cath for her outstanding leadership and dedication. She has guided British Mensa with vision and professionalism, and leaves the society revitalised and well-positioned for future success. We are confident that Kayleigh will provide steady and effective leadership during this transition while we work to appoint a new leader to guide British Mensa into its next chapter.”

The recruitment process for the leadership position is already in progress and further updates will be shared with members in due course.
