One activity that many of our members enjoy is puzzling! You can test yourself for fun with our brainteasers. To get to the North Pole on time Santa must travel at 30mph for the duration of the journey.

How fast must he travel the second half of the journey?

60mph. Assume the total distance is 120 miles. The first 60 miles, at 20mph, took 3 hours. The total journey, 120 miles at 30mph, took 4 hours. Therefore, the second half of the journey, 60 miles needed to take just one hour – hence the speed of 60mph.
