Could a computer write music? And, if it could, what would it sound like?

East Anglian Mensa member Steve Goodwin set out to answer these questions when he developed an algorithm to write a symphony. He described the process – and the results – during a talk and question and answer sessions with members as part of Mensa East Anglia's events programme.
